Traditionally a chiropractic doctor is a specialist of the musculoskeletal system that uses orthopedic and neurologic testing to diagnose a condition.  The doctor is then able to restore proper function via a technique called a chiropractic manipulation.

We define a chiropractic manipulation as a high velocity low amplitude force, applied to a specific joint articulation to improve the efficiency of that joints movement. This procedure is safe as long as a thorough examination is performed to rule out possible adverse effects. In many cases a chiropractic manipulation can give a patient immediate relief of his/her symptoms. However, it is important to address the cause of the patient's joint dysfunction, and educate the patient on ways that they can prevent their condition from reoccurring.

Your first 45min .

Your first visit will consist of a thorough consultation, examination, and treatment followed by self care instructions.

The consultation is the most important part of the examination at our office. This gives the patient time to talk about his/her symptoms and how those symptoms have affected their daily activities. This is important because there are a number of clues that may lead to the diagnosis of the condition even prior to the official examination. Following the consultation Dr. B will begin the examination, which uses a series of muscle, orthopedic and neurologic testing to figure out how to help the patient. Following the examination a course of treatment will be discussed, questions will be answered and once agreed upon treatment will be initiated on the same day.

Dr. B’s approach to treatment is from a wholistic bio-mechanical point of view. The goal is to restore efficient joint movement. Biomechanics is the study of structure and function of a biological system as it relates to physics. Once diagnosed, the patient will undergo a series of ASD stretching to restore proper muscle tone which makes it easier to isolate the exact joint articulation that isn't moving efficiently. Only then is a chiropractic manipulation applied, followed by more stretching and a modality to compliments the treatment administered.

Following initial treatment, the patient may be set up for follow up appointments and may be given home therapy plan. Home therapy will include ice and heating instructions as well as exercises and natural ways to reduce inflammation such as food substitutes, herbal remedies or home ergonomic corrections.
